About Arita ware

The beginning of Arita ware is said to be at the end of the 16th century, when the potter Ri Sanpei, who was brought back by Nabeshima Naoshige when Toyotomi Hideyoshi invaded Korea during the Keicho era, discovered pottery stone, the raw material for porcelain, in Izumiyama, Arita.

The reason for its enduring popularity is not only its gorgeous appearance and high design quality, but also its ease of use in everyday life.
