About Henriot Quimper
Founded during the reign of Louis XIV as a royal handicraft factory, the Ashbay-Henriot Faience Pottery Factory, now Henriot-Quimper, is in fact one of the oldest French companies still in operation today.
Today, the workshop has become a symbol of the local town of Quimper, and the word "Quimper" now means Quimper ceramics by Henriot. These workshops are also famous as part of the heritage of Brittany, France, due to their history. Each piece of Henriot Quimper ceramics is produced with the "traditional Quimper touch" using magnificent techniques handed down from generation to generation.
Each Quimper piece is unique in the world, with many variations in finishes and patterns, and because it is handmade, every detail is meticulously crafted.
