A ceramic plate cut into a regular diamond pattern.
It is extremely difficult to maintain the shape of the engraved pattern on ceramic before firing.
This is a supreme plate that shows the craftsmanship of the craftsmen.
The light and simple design makes it easy to fit into any space.
At the same time, the plate, which clearly demonstrates the impressive craftsmanship involved, will elevate the impression of any space in which it is placed.

Katarina Gustafsson (Sweden, 1951-) / About Katarina Gustafsson
A Swedish ceramic artist born in Umeå.
Katariina Gustafsson was fascinated by unusual objects such as broken lamps and warning lanterns from an early age. Early in her career, she became interested in the unique ceramic technique of Skåne in southern Sweden, and incorporated the Scanian technique of carving regular patterns into the clay into her own work. Over the years, these patterns have become a hallmark of her work. The fact that the unfired ceramic retains the shape it was cut into with the exact pattern is a highly demanding and precise task, and is a testament to her skill. Since 1973, she has been producing hand-carved stoneware and porcelain utensils and artworks near Landskrona. Her specialities are lamps, lanterns, plates and bowls with openwork decoration. Her work includes around 60 exhibitions in galleries and art galleries, as well as 100 exhibitions in companies and organisations. Public works can be seen in St. Mary's Church in Helsingborg, the Gymnasium in Svarov and the Heleneborg School in Svarov, among others.
