A small two-drawer chest designed by Kai Kristiansen and produced by Axel Kjaersgaard.
The impressive design features a circular carved handle that resembles a work of art, and the simplicity of the piece, with no unnecessary design elements, makes it suitable for a variety of occasions.
The two-tiered drawer is perfect for storing small items.
The product is stamped with the "Denish Control" stamp, which is the name of an organization established in Denmark in 1959 with the aim of maintaining and managing the high quality of furniture. This stamp is engraved on furniture that meets the quality standards of that time.

About Kai Kristiansen (Denmark, 1929-) A Danish designer known for his simple and warm designs that fit into modern life, Kai Kristiansen completed his furniture making apprenticeship in 1947 and studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1948 to 1951. While Klint's design philosophy was inspired by classical and traditional furniture shapes and techniques, Kristiansen also placed emphasis on a more progressive, ergonomic approach to design.
Christiansen greedily adopted the excellent craftsmanship he had cultivated before entering the school and the innovative, human-centered design he had learned from Klint, and after graduating, he gained experience working under various designers. In 1955, at the age of just 26, Christiansen opened his own design shop and began making furniture that would become known as Danish modern style, "composed of beautiful lines, form, and a perfect balance of function." He has produced many pieces that bring out the beauty of solid wood, such as the "Z Chair" and "Paper Knife Sofa," and his pieces, which are designed to fit the human body meticulously through their beauty and knowledge of ergonomics, are still loved by many people today.
