Hand-drawn. The phoenix is a symbol of peace and happiness and is considered to be auspicious.
Kinrande is so named because its gorgeous color scheme resembles that of gold brocade fabric, and it appeared in the economically prosperous Genroku period of the Edo period. It is a technique in which patterns are expressed in gold paint on a base of white porcelain with colored painting, and many works feature gorgeous patterns using lavish colors of red and gold.
It is considered one of the most difficult styles in the world of pottery, as it requires a great deal of time and effort, as each color is fired repeatedly and multiple colors, including gold, are used.
