In the 1990s, Makham began collaborating with Dutch designers using traditional techniques, and one of these projects is the Majolica Deep Plate.
The design, which leaves areas unglazed, allows the viewer to see the beauty of the raw materials themselves while also expressing the process of shaping the clay, bisque firing, glazing and painting.
The flower design is colorfully painted in black, green, red, etc., but the colors are gentle.
This deep plate is quite large and deep, so you can serve fruits and other items on it.
It also has a strong presence as a decorative piece.
The beige colored parts are unglazed and bisque.
